I have worked in a few open offices and visited many. They can range from very bad to sort of okay. If designed correctly with teams organised to compliment each other it can be quite good. This never happens, or is ripped apart within a few years.
Paranoia is rife. You hear everyone talking. Everyone can see everyone else's monitors which tends to end up that you watch someone across the floor surf the net all day. All it takes is for one exhibitionist, loud mouth, megaphone personality or uncontrolled cackler and your work becomes. punctuated. by. sound. which. is. really. annoying. Nothing can be said which hasn't been said before. It sucks.
If you have never experienced an open plan office then be thankful and do what you can to avoid them.
You pretty much have it right there. Most of it is about running around killing stuff, upping skills, collecting new armour sets, trying for the full special sets which usually only random pop from chests. Lots of fun if that is your thing.
I played Baldurs Gate. Within the first couple of levels I picked up Ball Lightning and the rest of the game was a walk through :) Unlike Diablo 1 / 2 where it took quite a while to get to the point of being able to walk around and trounce anything.
I was addicted for a while until I killed a tablet playing Swordigo. BloonsTD5 would have taken out another had I not deleted it. Fieldrunners was tough, Fieldrunners 2 was a worthy successsor. Why, yes, I am a fan of Humble Bundle. How could you tell?
My teacher was the 'computer guy', although I didn't know it at the time. We started by practicing typing on printed out keyboards. Hours spent playing a river survival game taught me most computer basics. This gave me incentive to learn more about computers which eventually led to a life using them.

Considering that PGP never got off the ground for the general population perhaps this decade it will as phone users see the need for all communication across public networks to be private. Or, as least not easily read in clear text. What would be good is to have pgp key generation as part of the phone setup and enabled by default in email and sms applications.
Much is said about piracy killing the video industry yet had it not been for the underground rippers subbers and dubbers I would not have gotten a start in anime. In the 90s I was a huge Ranma fan. The only videos were crappy but huge 100mb badly subbed episodes. It would be 10 years until I put down cash to buy it. 10 years. Even then it was a PITA which I got around by having a dvd drive region set for it and otherJapanese discs. I have often wondered how many people just give up. By the time I saw the Macross box set I had moved on in life with no interest in reliving weekday morning cartoons. That said, I could go for some Samurai Pizza Cats ... will check youtube :-) Good to see a classic anime back on, and here's hoping that we see more soon.

I do not have a problem with them copying each other. However, just like in school tests: it is important to copy the good stuff, not the bad stuff
They dug this hole for themselves. Getting out will be rough. Perhaps it is they they jumped onto the linux-on-the-desktop and just give up on Windows.
Bah. Editing on mobile there. LF are stripped.. and html on a phone is difficult :) I was hoping for more suggestions ... anyone else have a beef with Windows which would need to be resolved before it is acceptable?
